Divert your prayers to yourself! Kate Actress claps back at ‘reconciliation’ suggestions by online ‘in-laws’
Award-winning actress Kate Actress had to address social media comments attempting to ‘reconcile’ her with estranged husband Philip Karanja. This came after she shared photos from their daughter’s birthday celebration at school.
A fan identified as Wangeci Ndegwa expressed a wish for people to resolve differences for their innocent kids, to which Kate responded: “Why don’t people choose peace for the sake of their children…I wish too… Mnapenda mazishi sana. (You love funerals too much).”
Lilian James suggested they come back together, highlighting that small differences should not break a marriage.

Kate retorted, “You lived with us? Women of my time are choosing themselves. Kindly respect that.”
Addressing a comment from Jerusha Carey Wambugu praying for their reunion, Kate advised, “Divert your prayers to yourself, my dear.”
Kate, however, praised Phil as a great dad to her kids, expressing their luck and blessings to have him.
She explained her stance on not letting bullies take over her space, citing the impact of online bullying.
The actress, known as the ‘Clap Back Queen,’ asserted the need for mutual respect in expressing opinions and not overstepping boundaries.
Kate asserted, “[I am a] clapback queen because I have witnessed what online bullying can do. You must take what you dish on my page. We all have our opinions but let’s not always overstep, my peeps. I am not the one. Otherwise, let’s resume. I will never be a doormat at the expense of peace. I am just real.”
Kate Actress and Phil Director announced their separation earlier this year, addressing the ongoing rumours as well as asserting their commitment to co-parenting, remaining friends and business partners.
“We came to a conclusion to end our marriage a long while ago and are separated. We sincerely request everyone to honour our wishes for privacy for us and our children,” wrote Kate.
Phil also shared similar sentiments on his social media handles saying despite their separation, they still remain friends and business partners.
“Hii ni mambo ya watu wawili, but allow us to add you to the group chat kidogo, so we can proceed with our lives bila story mob. Kate and I remain as friends, co-parents, and business partners,” wrote Phil.
