Davido given historic honour by American state

 

Daido is having the greatest year in music. His Grammy Nominated Album Timeless, with 2 Grammy Nominated Songs has now crossed 300 Million Streams on Spotify.

He has also gained 324,332,148 streams on Audiomack, and on Boomplam, he has 318,400,000 bringing the total to 942,748,005.

OBO as he is referred to has added another feather to his cap. He has been declared an ‘Outstanding Georgia Citizen.' He announced this on his Instagram page where he wrote;

"This morning I attended the US State of Georgia General Assembly meeting with the Georgia House of Representatives and Georgia State Senate to be recognized as an outstanding Georgia citizen."

"God is good," he declared.

Davido received a standing ovation in a video displaying his certificate. The musician wore a black suit to the occasion as the 3-time award winner politely stood in recognition.

Davido was born in Atlanta. He now joins the ranks of Martin Luther King Jr., Jackie Robinson, Rapper T.I, and other notable figures who have received this prestigious award."
