Akothee Says Short-Lived Marriage with Omosh Messed Her Up, Felt Aggrieved

Singer Esther Akothee has opened up about her controversial wedding with Denis Schweizer Omosh, which lasted for only a few months. Akothee opens up about her failed marriage with Omosh and her new love interest.  The flamboyant singer said that the wedding was a mistake that messed her up. Why did Akothee and Omosh separate? Akothee said that she was not sorry for the failed marriage and that she was ready to move on with another man.  “If you were aggrieved by my wedding, then I am aggrieved more than you because it messed me up the same way it did to you. I am not unapologetic about it. And I want to ask you not to forgive me but to get ready with another outfit because another groom is in town,” she said during the Winam Convention. The singer, who calls herself the chief officer of failed marriages, also said that she had no regrets about her relationship with Omosh, whom she met online. She said that they had fun while it lasted, but it was time to let go. “Once you have chewed a chewing gum until all the flavour is gone, if you persist you will bite your tongue. My game with Omosh ended. Once the game has ended everyone goes back to their home,” Akothee added. Akothee and Omosh tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in Nairobi on Monday, April 10, after dating for a few months. However, the marriage hit the rocks soon after Akothee announced their separation in October. The 43-year-old mother of five shared a lengthy post revealing she had been undergoing therapy and healing in private. She said she has gone through a lot in the past couple of months and sometimes went without food. Akothee said she broke down several times while going through the dark time. "I have come out of a very dangerous zone, and I have been healing in private. I am in my second month of therapy. The trauma I went through after finding out the truth and some ugly stuff left me shaking. I went for days without food or sleep, questioning and answering myself. It has been very heavy some days; a night will just break into a day with me looking outside the window, gazing at nothing. I would be shaking for reasons I can't explain..." she said.
