Eve Tilley, 34, is willing to pay a whopping KSh 786,000 to the person who introduces her to the man she will marry. Who is the woman offering KSh 786k for a hubby? Eve, who works as a marketing manager, posted a video explaining the deal on her TikTok account @evetilley, where she has over 1000,000 followers. She said that she had previously made this offer to her friends and her boss, but none of them had succeeded in finding her a suitable match. She decided to open up the offer to the general public and shared her criteria for her ideal husband. She said: “So the offer is if you introduce me to my husband and I marry him, I will give you KSh 786,000 dollars. I don’t have to stay married to him for long, I can get divorced from him in 20 years, it doesn’t matter, but if you introduce to me a man that I walk down the aisle and get married to, I will give you KSh 786,000.” Eve revealed that she is looking for a man between 27 and 40 years old, likes sports, is a good communicator, is at least six feet tall, and has good wit, banter, and the ability to poke fun at her. She also added that she wants a teetotaller. The video quickly went viral and received over 556,000 views and thousands of comments. Many people expressed their interest in finding Eve a husband, while others joked that they would marry her themselves for the money. Some users also asked Eve why she was resorting to such a desperate measure and whether she had tried online dating or other methods of finding love. Eve responded that she had been single for over two years and that she was tired of dating apps and blind dates. Lady pays her own bride price In a separate story, a young woman who used her own money to pay her bride price narrated what happened. Narrating the story on News24, Zuku, 34, said she came up with the idea of paying her bride price. “If someone would’ve told me that at the age of 34, I would be paying my own lobola, I would’ve laughed. But yes, it happened – I fully paid my own lobola, and I won’t lie; at first, I was embarrassed,” she said.
