Wakadinali’s Munga takes a break to cater for his health

Munga Mkadinali, a member of the rap group Wakadinali has announced that he is taking a musical break until January as he deals with his heath.

In a tweet, Munga wrote;

“Due to my health issue, I won’t be around, hadi January. Poleni sana to my fans. I’m grabbing a break.”

This comes just weeks after Wakadinali announced they will be having their own show dubbed ‘Rong Experience’ on December 15th.

Munga said the show has to go on.

“Rong Experience itakua fire with or without me.”

The show will be going down at the winning post. 

The group were recently announced by Spotify as the most streamed artistes of the year. Reacting to the news, they tweeted;

“Wakadinali ni wale wanafunzi huongelewa na MWALIMU ati wakona bad behavior lakini results za mtihani zikitokea wao ndio wanatop” by fan Ebu tag huyo mwalimu.”

Wakadinali were not only the sole Kenyan artist in the top streamed list, landing at number 8, they are also the most searched artist in Kenya on Spotify, and their album Ndani ya Cockpit 3 ranked 10 as the most streamed album. 

The top streamed tracks list on the other hand was dominated by Afrobeats, with the only exception being Darassa and Bien’s collaboration No Body in sixth place.
