Why 2mbili's live fundraising show for ailing Mwana Mtule was stopped

On Saturday evening, comedian 2mbili tried to do an online fundraiser for musician Mwana Mtule's hospital bill but unfortunately, it could not go ahead as planned.

2mbili had earlier announced that he would be doing a live show on his social media accounts from the Kenyatta National Hospital, ward 10B where the ailing gospel singer is currently admitted in an effort to raise money for the hospital bill that now has risen to almost half a million shillings.

"Hello family, I will be broadcasting live on my social media starting at 5:00 pm in KNH Ward 10B to raise money for Mnawa Mtule's medical bill which is now 400k plus!!" he wrote on his Instastories.

He added, "The money will be sent directly to his Paybill: 891300, Acc. Number: 82998." In fact, on Saturday evening the live show started as previously announced before it was interrupted by an official of the hospital who asked them to stop recording the video because it is not allowed in the hospital.

"I'm sorry guys, we had to end the live show because it's against the law according to the leadership of knh!!! Thank you for the donation," 2bbili wrote in a statement.

A video shared on social media shows a hospital official telling the comedian that recording videos and photos in KNH is not allowed.

2mbili who was running the online fundraiser was seen negotiating with the female officer asking her to allow them to close the fundraising session.

"Okay, we have broken the law. But you have to calm down and tell the patient that we are going. We don't all stay in the same place, we have to say goodbye. We even have a pastor there. That's a grown pastor, he must pray for the patient when we go," 2mbili was heard telling the officer.

The officer told him that he had already informed Mwana Mtule's wife about the law that does not allow taking pictures in the hospital.

Stevo Simple Boy is one of the celebrities who showed up at the KNH hospital during the live show to support his fellow musician who has been ill for several weeks.
