Teacher Dies After Being Struck By Helicopter Propeller Blades In Garissa
A teacher has died after being struck by helicopter blades while picking up KCSE examination papers in Ijara, Garissa County.
Authorities said the incident occurred in Masalani, Garissa County on Tuesday morning.
The teacher had been assigned the responsibility of collecting KCSE examination papers when she was struck by the helicopter’s spinning blades, killing her instantly.
Police Spokeswoman Dr Resila Onyango has confirmed the incident but did not immediately provide more details.
“It is true we have had an incident where a teacher died after being struck by helicopter blades,” she said on telephone, “I am waiting for further details from the ground.”
