Kenya's PrideInn Hotels Changes Face to Reflect Service to Community

The Kenyan-grown hospitality company said it is shedding off its budget brand perception in favour of premium service offerings in line with its new strategic direction. PrideInn to increase number of employees PrideInn Hotels Managing Director Hasnain Noorani announced plans to increase the company's team to offer luxury services and those that will align with customer preferences."We want to become the leading employer in the country and the East Africa region. Our new image seeks to modernize the brand and align it with current consumer preferences,” said Noorani. Noorani attributed the company's success to its staff members, who have grown from 15 in 2011 to over 1,000 in 2023. He said the company focuses on excellent services under the ‘Global Feel with Kenyan Soul’ tagline. How PrideInn returns to the community The CEO highlighted PrideInn Hotels' Sustainable Corporate Social Responsibility (SCSR) as the key transformative strategy in its rebranding move. This includes recent initiatives such as the water borehole project launched in Isiolo County recently to serve more than 1,000 households. Noorani said the company plans to replicate the projects in other countries that struggle with water scarcity. "The rebrand has a key focus on SCSR. We are in the process of creating the PrideInn Foundation, which purely focuses on creating sustainable projects like boreholes and farmers' education. We want to impact both today's and tomorrow's generation," he added. Embracing solar energy for climate change The CEO revealed plans to install solar energy sources across its hotels as part of the company's strategic plan to reduce carbon emissions. He said the implementation process for clean energy usage is underway. Several businesses in the country have been changing their strategies, focusing on clean energy solutions. In October 2023, the Hub Karen announced plans to increase its renewable sources as it embraces clean energy.
