Juma Jux and Diamond mark major milestone for collabo 'Enjoy'
The current wave being experienced by Juma Jux and Diamond is paying off. Their collabo 'Enjoy' has hit 40 million views on YouTube and the duo is grateful to fans for making that happen.
Jux took to his Instagram to share a screenshot of the song's performance record, noting that it was released three months ago and recording success.
"ENJOY 40 MILLION + VIEWS IN THREE MONTHS π€―π€―ππΎππΎ THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR CONTINUOUS LOVE ππΎ ❤️ WHO DO YOU THINK IS ON THE REMIX?"
Diamond also shared the same gratitude message from Jux. Almost 8 other famous artists appeared in the video.
The musical geniuses though experienced a setback in August when the song was pulled down from YouTube. This followed a complaint filed by a Congolese artist named Sapologuano Odenumz.
Sapologuano Odenumz alleged that the melody featured in Diamond and Jux's song bore a striking resemblance to his own composition titled 'I Found Love.'
The Congolese alleged that his distinctive melodies were incorporated into the track Enjoy without proper authorization.
He claimed this in a media interview in Tanzania, where Odenumz confirmed he had filed the complaint
"Yes, I copyright struck the song because it is the melody of my song 'I Found Love' and it was found on their song."
Odenumz admitted that he was shocked when he first listened to 'Enjoy'. and on hearing the similarities between the two songs, Enjoy and his own called 'I Found Love.'
The Congolese unsuccessfully tried to reach out to Juam Jux and was left with no option but to go ahead with his complaint, the Congolese artiste reported to YouTube in a formal complaint for copyright infringement.
The audio track was then taken down from YouTube.
