Embakasi: 25-Year-Old Woman Found Killed, Body Stuffed in a Sack

 

Citizen TV reported that the body of an unidentified woman was found on Wednesday, November 22, dumped inside a sack in Nairobi's Embakasi estate. How did Embakasi residents find the woman's body? According to a police report at Kware Police Station, residents saw a suspicious-looking sack and informed the police. "It was reported by 2 National Police Service (NPS) officers who were on day patrol duties within the areas of Stage Mpya within Kware that they were informed by members of public that there was a sack dumped along the makeshift structures suspected to be having a human body," a police reads in part. When police visited the scene, they found the naked body of an unknown female, approximately 25 years old, stuffed in a sack. Police said the woman appeared to have been strangled to death by her attackers, while her mouth, eyes, and limbs had been bound by pieces of clothing. "The body had strangulation marks on the neck and blood stains on the nose and ears and also signs of incontinence were noted," said the police report. Assistant chief found killed in Kisumu Elsewhere, police are investigating the death of an assistant chief whose body was found in Kolenyo Market. The body of John Olum of East Katieno Sub Location was spotted dumped inside a culver by a passerby very early in the morning on Wednesday, November 15. Confirming the tragic incident, South Central Seme location chief Caleb Apondi said security officers at the scene identified his body. Citizen Digital reported that the cause of his death is yet to be established by preliminary investigations at the scene, which showed he had visible strangle marks on the neck. Olum's body was taken to Kisumu County Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
