Police are investigating an incident in which an aged catholic priest was found dead in his house in Gigiri, Nairobi.
A caregiver at the house reported to police that the 88-year-old was found unresponsive in his room.
She tried to wake him up on Sunday morning in vain.
The caregiver reported the priest had been battling high blood pressure complications.
Police visited the scene and helped to move the body to the mortuary pending autopsy and other procedures.
According to police, the body did not have any visible injuries at the time it was moved to the mortuary.
Police declared they are yet to know the cause of the death and that the autopsy will reveal more.
Elsewhere in Msambweni, Kwale, police are looking for a gang that attacked and killed a guard on duty in a robbery at a shop.
The incident happened at Kenya Loma Vitsangalaweni Junction, police said.
The owner of the shop went to open it on Sunday morning and failed to get a response from his guard as usual.
He later realized the facility had been broken into by unknown people.
Therein, he found out the said thieves stole ten bales of maize flour and an unknown amount of money.
It was then that he realized his guard who was on duty was missing and on checking on him he realized he was motionless behind the shop.
Police said the body of Gereza Katembo Bechuye, 40, had deep cuts on his head.
His body was moved to the mortuary pending autopsy and further probe.
Police visited the scene on Sunday as part of the probe into the murder and robbery with violence.
No arrest has been made so far, police said adding a team of detectives is pursuing the matter.
