The outspoken political activist claimed he was among the top performers in the national examination; he implied he scored 401 out of the possible 500 marks. He invited Kenyans of goodwill to be part of his academic journey as he seeks to scale up to the tertiary level. “I am going to Alliance High School. People should send money for me to buy trunk, uniform, books and other materials,” he said. Babu Owino’s offer to Nuru Okanga Embakasi East MP Babu Owino had offered to sponsor him to the next level of education. Despite his purported feat remaining a mystery, Azimio politicians congratulated him. Babu, while at it, promised Okanga a full scholarship for his secondary education. “Congratulations Nuru Okanga for passing KCPE Exams with flying colours. I will give you a scholarship to further your secondary school Education. Mwalimu wa Maths hapa ni Wapi?” he wrote on X. Earlier, DAP-K party leader Eugene Wamalwa celebrated Okanga for his performance. Wamalwa did not, however, reveal what Okanga scored. “Congratulations my friend Nuru Okanga for passing your KCPE exams with flying colors! We are proud of you and so are the People of western, Kakamega County, Matungu Constituency, Kholera Ward! Yours is an inspiring story of never being late to validate your dreams,” Wamalwa said. Nuru Okanga’s KCPE results On his part, Okanga denied online viral claims about his results. “I am just seeing things trending online but I am yet to get the results. Let us just wait and see. I am ready for anything,” he said. He registered as a private candidate at Mumias Muslim Primary School in Kakamega county. Motivating his candidature was his political ambitions in 2027. “Many people are asking why I am doing these exams, but I want to tell them that everyone has their dreams and aspirations in life. In 2027, I will be on the ballot. My father died early. I need to have this KCPE certificate to vie for the MCA seat,” he said. The vocal Azimio diehard was targeting 250 marks and above. “I am expecting to get 250 marks. That’s enough for me. I don’t want to get higher than that. After this, I expect to join high school and fulfil my dreams. I believe that at 70 years old, I will vie for the presidency in Kenya,” he explained.
