‘We used to preach together’ – Kenya Power MD Joseph Siror opens up about his friendship with Ruto
Kenya Power Managing Director Eng. Joseph Siror has opened up about his long-time friendship and university hobbies with President William Ruto.
In an interview with a local TV station on Tuesday night, the Kenya Power boss revealed that he used to minister the word of God with the Head of State during their free time at the University of Nairobi.
Siror was reacting to a viral photo of him, President Ruto and three other friends, taken during a past school trip to Lake Nakuru.
"Actually, it could be my twin brother,” Siror jested before admitting that he was the one appearing in the photo, "I am the one. Maybe the year 1989 or 1990 in Lake Nakuru," he revealed.
“We were together in college and we used to preach together and I still preach."
Without going into details, the MD said he still preaches to date.
“I am a preacher, first and foremost …but don’t tell anybody. When I am free, I will actually come and preach,” Siror told the host after he sought more details about the MD's ministry.
Siror, Ruto viral photo
The photo in question went viral on social media in May when Siror was appointed Kenya Power's managing director.
Prior to his appointment, Siror served as General Manager for System Operations at Kenya Electricity Transmission Company (KETRACO).
The other three individuals in the photo are believed to be Energy Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir, KenGen Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Eng. Peter Waweru Njenga and Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) MD Joe Sang. BY K24 NEWS
