The couple spent quality time with Sanko and his wife, Hellen, at the lodge and even posed for photos.  Chemtai wore a black and white long dress, a black turban and accessorised her look with a long stylish Maasai neckpiece gifted to her by Hellen. On the other hand, her husband Nick wore a black suit and white shirt. Hellen Sankok shared photos of them and their visitors at the lodge and captioned them: "God's grace is so sufficient." In early January, President Ruto revealed that his Nick and Chemtai had welcomed their first child. Speaking during a public event in Laikipia county, Ruto said: "I want to thank the people of Laikipia for giving my son a wife, and they have been blessed with a grandchild.
