Former Senator Daisy Nyongesa Says She's Been Loyally Making Uji for 13 Years for MP Husband

She revealed in a Facebook post that she has made things work through ensuring her lover has an endless supply of uji (porridge) for the last 13 years. Daisy has prepared uji for 13 years Photos of the couple captured during the burial of Mzee Buyai Soita in Chevaywa Ward, Lugari Sub-County, Kakamega County showed them cozying up to each other. They were pictured sharing affectionate moments and laughs, something that captured the hearts of onlookers. “Life ni fupi, be happy, enjoy it as it comes because mambo ya watu wanajifunika blanket moja nani tokayo… because mimi ndio huwa napika uji for the last 13 years na siwachi hivi karibuni (Life is short, enjoy it as it comes and avoid people who have shared a blanket, because I have prepared porridge for 13 years and ain't stopping anytime soon)," she wrote. The couple eulogised the late Soita as a man who had admirable traits based on the praises showered on him by mourners. He was not only a wonderful planner who prepared for his demise, but also ensured his children were well educated and mannered. Mrs. Nabwera termed the late Soita, who died aged 93, as a unifying force in his family, adding that his gap will be difficult to fill.
