DP Gachagua: Kenyan Diaspora is an important component of Kenya’s economy

 

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has underscored the crucial role played by the Kenyan Diaspora in growing the country’s economy.

Speaking during a meeting with Kenyans residing in Belgium, Gachagua said the government is constantly engaging with Kenyans living abroad to improve their working environment.

“We are working with host States to improve their working environment through friendly policies and other structural and operational interventions,” the DP stated.

“We will endavour to work with them through the available frameworks for a better environment as they work hard for the benefit of our Nation,” he added

The DP was accompanied by Pastor Dorcas Rigathi and Kenya’s  Ambassador to Belgium, Prof Bitange Ndemo.

Gachagua is in Belgium for a three day official during which he will represent President William Ruto at the Gateway Forum on Digital Innovation, Green Energy, Transport, Healthcare and Education.
