President William Ruto left the country and returned silently from his visit to the Republic of the Congo.

It is not clear when the Head of State jetted back into the country, but on Sunday he attended a church service in Uasin Gishu. For Kenyans, this has not gone down well.

Kenyans on X kept asking whether the president returned from his trip after being enthralled with the photographs of Ruto that had been circulated online.

“Kwani alirudi saa ngapi?” X user by the name Gabriel Oguda asked.

Another one, by the name Macha posted: “Kwani alirudi usiku wa manane?”

“When does he sleep? He is always outside,” another one asked.

Johnson said: “From Congo Brazzaville to Uasin Gishu? Wow! This guy is a real Tourist.”

“Aliconect direct to Eldoret from Congo, when is he resting?” Cosmas asked.

The president has justified the move, citing the ongoing controversy surrounding his suspected multiple trips, by stating that he has so far been successful in securing a number of agreements and alliances that are advantageous to the nation.

Speaking in Uasin Gishu on Sunday, Ruto declared that he had secured 350,000 job spots for Kenyans during his recent trip to Saudi Arabia. The bilateral agreement is anticipated to be finalised within the next three weeks.

“There are some people who are making noise asking why I am going for the trips, that is my work as the President. I am Kenya’s chief agent and ambassador to plan how the country will move forward,” he said.

“Even the bishop has said he was in Nandi for a week and Mbeere for some days but when I just go for two days to secure jobs for Kenyans there is noise.”

Ruto was present in the Three Basins Summit on Tropical Forests and Biodiversity Ecosystems.

The summit’s goal is to launch the world’s first alliance to rebuild 350 million hectares of marine and terrestrial ecosystems.

The president met with Virginijus Sinkevicius, the European Commissioner for the Environment, Oceans, and Fisheries, on Saturday while he was still in Brazzaville, Congo.

According President Ruto, the main objective of the meeting was to expedite the EU and Kenyan Economic Partnership Agreement’s implementation.

“Kenya and the European Union share a strong commitment to environmental protection and conservation,” Ruto said.
