Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has reiterated government’s commitment to addressing concerns raised by the Kenyan Diaspora.
Speaking when he met with the Kenyan Diaspora in Germany, Gachagua said the government will continue engaging with Kenyans living and working abroad to facilitate closer collaboration.
“Because we value their contribution to the socio-economic growth of our country, we make deliberate moves of meeting them, sitting with them and discussing with them about Government development priorities,” said Gachagua
The DP said the Kenyan Diaspora Kenyan diaspora is the leading source of foreign exchange in Kenya therefore a crucial component for the country’s socio-economic growth.
“With the establishment of the State Department for Diaspora Affairs, the Ruto Administration aimed at dedicating an accountable officer in charge of the community for smooth service delivery besides hastened redress to emerging issues of concern,” he stated.
The DP was accompanied by Second Lady Pastor Dorcas Rigathi.
