Kenya Power has announced five counties will experience power outages on Thursday due to maintenance.
In a statement, the power company mentioned that the interruptions will occur at various times of the day in different counties.
The counties affected by power interruptions include Kiambu, Nairobi, Nyandarua, Kisumu, and Homabay.
In Nairobi, the following areas of Joska will experience interruptions, including Ongao, Acre Tano, Reflector, Greenview Schools, Kanisani Stage, Twinbird Schools, Rophine Kamulu, Kamulu Police, Mahiga Homes, and adjacent customers will be affected.
In Kiambu, areas of Kamaki and Gatong’ora, including Gwa Kairu, Thome, Gatong’ora, Sunrise, part of Bypass, Kamakis, part of Kihunguro, Miti Kenda, Karuguru and the whole of Mashinani will be affected with interruptions from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
Others are Kiratina, By-Pass Corner, Green Valley, Silicon Valley, Kiratina, parts of Varsity Ville, Naivas, Quickmart, Mutnya Dispensary, Kwa Chinese, Sewage, Kwihota, Gituamba Water Project, and adjacent customers will experience power interruptions.
In Nyandarua, the entire Ndemi area, including Mahii, Mwireri, Munyeki, Highland Flowers, Uhuru, Matindiri, Tumaini, Thaba, Kihoto, Mathakwa, Rutara, Makutano, Miiri, and adjacent customers will experience interruptions from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
In Kisumu, areas of Omeyi and Kadongo, including Onyalobiro, Ombeyi, Ruutek, Kango, Kambara, Chemursoi, Kabar, Kadongo, Kolal, Keyo, Wagogni, Ramula, and adjacent customers will be affected from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
In Homabay, areas of Kanyamfwa and Andhiro, including Kanyamtwa, Gogo, Okiki Amayo, Uhuru Mkt, Adhiro, Aligo, Nyangau, Omide, Masogo, Lleta, Otaro, Dhole, Rarowa, and adjacent customers will be affected from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. BY THE STAR
