During church service on Sunday, October 23, at the Revival Sanctuary of Glory in Riruta Satellite, Ruto said he was glad to be Kenya’s president during these hard times. According to Ruto, the country would have collapsed had someone been elected president during the 2022 presidential poll. The head of state said the country requires someone with leadership qualities like him who is not afraid to make firm decisions. He assured the country that he would steer the country in the right direction to ensure everyone was proud to be a Kenyan. “I am glad that I am Kenya’s president during these hard times. Such times need someone like me. Had someone else been elected, Kenya would have collapsed. I want to assure everyone that the country will move in the right direction, and we shall be a nation that everyone is proud of,” Ruto said. The president reaffirmed his commitment to delivering his development agenda despite criticism from the opposition. Ruto said his plan is to transform the country and will not be distracted from the course by anyone. “We are going to change this country. Never worry; those who are talking will continue to talk but after some time, they will keep quiet and clap for us,” he added. BY TUKO NEWS
