MC Jessy now says he had almost given up on comedy after consistently going for auditions for a year without success.
In an interview with Oga Obinna, MC Jessy says at the time he was giving up he met Daniel Ndambuki
“I had gone for auditions for one year with no success.
I was almost giving up. Before that I went to my Pastor and explained to him that I wanted to give up on Comedy.
The pastor prayed for me and anointed me.
I went to Churchill auditions after the pastor’s prayers, feeling very confident.
Despite that Victor Ber did not like my jokes.”
Jessy says at some point he wondered if the pastor’s prayers did not reach God.
“I decided to go for a call of nature despite the fact that I had eaten nothing.
As a I was washing my hands I saw Churchill, I was very shocked.
He knew me from somewhere.
I gave him some of my ideas among them allowing other people to curtain raise for him when he wanted to perform.”
Thinking that he would immediately get a break through, J
“I felt dejected because he just agreed to the idea and just left.”
Luckily for him Jessy got to work with Churchill for years, the two were a force to reckon with.
