Lulu Hassan, Rashid Abdalla Paying Over KSh 250k Annual Fees for Daughter at Makini Schools

Which school does Lulu Hassan's daughter attend? Aside from their jobs at Citizen TV, the couple owns Jiffy Pictures, which produced beloved shows like Maria, Zora, Moyo and Aziza, among others. Their earnings have enabled them to offer their children quality education. On Thursday, September 21, Lulu attended a sports day at her five-year-old daughter Kiran's school. The images she posted showed her alongside Hassan Mugambi and Chemutai Goin, whose kids school in the same institution. Lulu wore a white top, jeans trousers, a wavy brown wig and black sneakers. Lulu was caught on camera protesting after her team lost a tug-of-war. TUKO.co.ke established that the journalists pay good money for their kids to attend the prestigious Makini Schools. Given Kiran’s age, she is presumably in pre-primary two, where the termly school fee is KSh 80,800. According to the fee structure, those seeking to enrol their kids at the school must pay a non-refundable KSh 1,650 interview fee and a registration levy of KSh 2,200. Other termly requirements include a KSh 1,000 PTA fund and a KSh 550 insurance cover. Yearly expenses include KSh 450 for a school diary and KSh 550 for an identity card. The termly fees cover lunch, breakfast, computer and games like swimming and chess. However, parents pay extra for their children to participate in extra activities, which happen after school hours and on weekends. They include football, basketball, tennis, horse riding, taekwondo, skating and golf. Some clubs at Makini Schools include French, ICT, drama and music. Makini Schools plan foreign trip In other news, Makini Schools announced that their students would fly out of the country in November for an academic trip. The institution's students will visit England and France's capitals, London and Paris, for sightseeing. TUKO.co.ke established that each parent would have to pay KSh 560,000 for the trip. BY TUKO NEWS
