Kiambu Woman Harassed by Male Employer in Qatar Builds Parents KSh 500k Home after Saving Her Salary

 

Maggie Simon, who works in Qatar as a housemaid, managed to build her folks a three-bedroomed house in Githunguri, Kiambu county. Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Maggie narrated that since moving to the middle-east country, her main goal was to build her parents a decent home as a way of showing gratitude to them for raising her.  "I was motivated because I could not pay them back for what they had done for me to get where I am. The only way to show them appreciation was to build them a house," she told this writer.  Maggie narrated that she left Kenya on September 4, 2021, and her first mission was to improve her parents living standards. "I started saving in January 2022, and I started building the house in September of the same year," she recalled. Challenges she faced in Qatar However, her stay in Qatar has not been easy, as she has had to overcome a myriad of challenges since moving to a foreign country. She said she could not work for her first employer as he started harassing her, and she had to seek help from Qatar authorities. "Things got out of hand and I had to call the police. On November 14, 2021, they took me to my embassy, where one of the staffers helped me to get a job as a nanny with a different family, and that's how I managed to save the money to build the house," she said. Kenyan man builds simple house after returning from Qatar In other news, a Kenyan man who returned from Qatar also built himself a lovely simple house months after returning to the country. Hesbon Mogusu could not be any more proud and elated with himself after he managed to put up the mud-walled house, which is still under construction. Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, he said he had used up KSh 110,000 to reach the stage where the construction of the house where is; he admitted that he would not have been able to achieve his dream of having his house without saving.   BY TUKO NEWS
