Aslay: How Rayvanny's big blessing caused Yamoto Band split

 

Artist Aslay has come out to explain what he feels caused their group Yamoto Band to disintegrate a few years after it flourished under the leadership of Mkubwa Fela.

Speaking to Millard Ayo, Aslays said that Yamoto reached when they started having issues after the great success they were having.

He said that to a certain percentage Rayvanny on the WCB Wasafi label encouraged everyone to be independent and thus created more cracks in the Yamoto Band.

Aslay remembered that when Rayvanny was introduced by Wasafi, they were on a music tour in Europe and when they saw him being introduced and handed over a luxury car, everyone felt it was time for them to go solo because everything they got was always split meaning less for everyone.

"I remember when Rayvanny came out, we were on the Europe Tour, in Europe. Rayvanny was given a RAV4 during that time I remember.

So when Rayvanny came out everyone was wishing that even they could do something like this. You know when you get 10k and then you divide it and you see that I can squeeze it by myself. That's where the desires started to come," Aslay explained.

He said that he then started to withdraw from the group and later everyone else also took their own path. The artist admitted that their boss Mkubwa Fela saw this and tried to unite them together to develop the Yamoto group but the ship had already sunk.

"He tried to do things like that but he came to see these adults and they have reached the point of seeing what things they desire," he said.   BY MPASHO NEWS
