Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has announced a planned maintenance exercise that will affect several regions across the country.
Scheduled for Monday, September 18, 2023, this maintenance is set to affect the parts of Nairobi, North Eastern, North Rift and Mt Kenya regions.
Residents of Mwimuto and its environs will experience a temporary interruption in their electricity supply. The maintenance will take place from 9:00 am. to 5:00 pm.
This exercise will also impact users in NSSF Kitsuru, Tate Close, Forward Close, and adjacent areas.
In the North Eastern region, residents of Mutomo and Kiganjo will be affected by the maintenance work. The scheduled timeframe for this region is also from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Areas such as Gathiru, Gathiriga, Karangi, and neighbouring locations are also set for temporary power interruption.
In the North Rift region, specific parts of Trans Nzoia County, including the Sinyereri area, will undergo maintenance. The maintenance in the area is scheduled from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Users residing in Sinyereri, Namba Nne, Co-operative, Sitatunga, Kabolet, Kapsara Market, Kipsara factory, and nearby areas will experience a temporary electricity supply interruption.
Lastly, in the Mt. Kenya region, certain areas in Murang’a County will be affected by the maintenance work.
This includes the Kiruri, Chichi, and Kangari areas. The maintenance will occur from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Those residing in Karurumo, Kiruri Market, Chichi Market, Gatua Market, Murang’a High, Gatharathi Market, Koganda, Gacharage, Gime, Mukoma Shopping Center, Erceona, Karinga, Kangari Market, and nearby locations should be prepared for a temporary power outage during this period. BY K24 NEWS
