It was a big shame when I was taken to prison, and my son’s life was losing direction. But God has touched all of you to raise money for my son’s education and to get me out of prison,” a teary Moraa told Bosongo Vibes, as reported by Citizen TV Kenya. Nyamira Law Court accounts office receives money The emotional mum was jailed after she lost KSh 175,000 of KSh 300,000, which she had collected from fellow traders to get maize from Kehancha in Migori county. The maize traders filed a case against her, and she was ordered to reimburse the lost money to the rightful owners or serve two years in jail. Since the Kisii mum did not have that money, she was imprisoned for over a month before compassionate well-wishers bought her freedom by raising the money for her.
