When asked about 2027, Jalas stated; “2027 ni mbali bado tuko na muda.”
The lawmaker further denied claims that President William Ruto was luring him to join the UDA party.
“Hakuna siku tumeongea na Rais mambo ya 2027. Tunaongea tu kuhusu maendeleo.“

“Wewe jua Jalas ndio mbunge wa Lang’ata 2027. Kama jina langu litakua kwa debe mimi ndio mbunge, kama nitawania kiti cha ugavana, mimi ndio gavana, na kama nitawania cha urais, mimi ndio rais 2027,” he stated.
In a previous interview, Jalang’o said he was ready to serve for one term claiming he used to earn way more before joining politics.
“I want to deliver on my mandate to the people of Lang’ata even if I’ll just serve for one term. Some things don’t move me. I have left better salaries than what MPs are paid and I can also go back to Jalang’o TV,” the legislator stated.
Jalas raised eyebrows when he joined a section of ODM legislators to meet President William Ruto in State House Nairobi on February 7, 2023, for what was termed as development talks.
