Police probe death of woman in Tena estate
Police are investigating the cause of death of a woman whose body was found in her house in Tena, Nairobi.
The decomposing body of Teresia Wanjiru Theuri was discovered in her sitting room days after she failed to respond to her calls.
Her siblings told police they last spoke to her on August 11.
It was until August 14 that they discovered the body in the house she lived alone.
The family had travelled from Muranga to Nairobi to establish why she was not responding to the calls when they stumbled on her body.
Police were called to the scene and picked up the body to the mortuary pending autopsy and other probes.
In Casanova, Huruma, the body of one Shadrack Makau was found in a pool of blood in his house.
Police claimed the deceased had earlier fought with his wife while intoxicated.
The woman was later arrested as part of the probe into the death of the man.
Police said the body, which had injuries on the hip was removed to the City morgue pending autopsy.
Meanwhile, police are investigating the death of a 22-year-old man in Eastleigh.
The body of the man was found unresponsive in the sitting room before he was picked up and rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
