Meru Mum Who Educated Househelp Emotional After She Graduates from University : "Can't Hold Back Tears"

 

Househelp joins MKU "We can't keep calm; celebrating one of my greatest wins. We appreciate those who walked with us," said the elated Kendi. "This beautiful soul has been my personal assistant, my daughter calls her bestie. Some years ago, we made this bold step and enrolled her at MKU. It hasn't been easy but I thank God we made it through. I am a happy parent of a graduand today as she was conferred and received the power to read and do what appertains to the degree," she added. . According to Kendi, Bestie joined her household years ago to care for her little daughter, as she moved to different places in search of opportunities. Bestie studies Business Administration Years later, the relationship grew from employer-employee to family. They called her Bestie, and on August 4, she graduated from Mount Kenya University, her education fully sponsored by her employer. "Bestie as I am about to release you to the outside world of employment, I can't hold tears of joy as I remember how far we have come. All I wish you is favour in the next life. Thank you for serving us well. I pray to God that He will give me and Kikie someone else who matches your energy to understand us as you have always done.  "This far it is God, my prayer is for God to bless you with a good job. She studied Business Administration," Kendi revealed. Domestic worker graduates as nurse Further afield, Mercy Wangeci, who moved to Saudi Arabia to become a domestic worker, finally became a Certified Nurse Assistant in the country. The 25-year-old lady born in a family of eight was raised by her mum after her dad died in 2006.
