Kiambu: Sorrow as Man Is Found Dead in Room One Day Before His Wedding

 

He was to tie the knot with Joyce Waithira, his long-time fiance. They had even taken their Facebook followers through the countdown to their big day. "With the blessing of God and our parents, we joyously invite you to witness and celebrate the blessings of our marriage," read their digital card.  The nuptials would, however, be impeded by Gitau's mysterious death on Friday, August 25. Would-be groom's mysterious death Sources indicate he was found lying lifeless in his house. The cause of his untimely death could not immediately be established. Unconfirmed reports, nevertheless, indicate that the now-deceased had spent his last moments with the would-be best couple. As per blogger Simon Muthiora, Gitau was dropped home by the said couple before being discovered dead the following morning with foam on his mouth. The quarters assert that he contacted a sister of his in whom he confided an alleged plot to eliminate him. "He texted his sister telling her that 'if anything ever happened to him, they should ask (undisclosed) person," Those aggrieved by the death have called on the country's top investigative body, DCI, to launch a probe into it.  The deceased's gutted friends gathered to mourn him; @Virgie Virtue: "Goosebumps are all over me. Bride-to-be dies on wedding eve A 28-year-old Rebecca Oyedotun, a Nigerian, was having her bridal shower when the tragedy befell. It was gathered that Rebecca and her fiancé, Abiodun Oluwadamilare, were set to tie the knot in Ogbomosho, Oyo State, but she died at the hospital. The Federal University of Technology (FUT) Minna graduate and her friends were having her bridal shower ceremony when she collapsed at 10:30pm. Following the sad incident, she was rushed to LAUTECH Teaching Hospital in Ogbomoso, where she was revived, but her condition did not improve until she died in the early hours of Sunday. A friend of the deceased, Adejhoke Pretty Hoyee, also joined a host of others in mourning the lady's demise while narrating the circumstances surrounding her death. In her words: "Yesterday was her wedding, but unfortunately, she just slumped on her bridal shower, and she was in hospital throughout yesterday, so now she's gone. RIP." According to a sister-in-law of the deceased, everything was already in place for the big day. "Everything was set by Friday, the meat was fried, every necessary preparation was made, and there were a lot of people coming to rejoice with us.
