Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua took an early morning hike in Nandi county.
He was accompanied by area Governor Stephen Sang on the Sunday morning activity among other leaders.
Gachagua said a visit to the county triggers a lot of inspiring moments for him as it is a land of the brave men who stood steadfastly against the colonialists.
“It was exhilarating to take an early morning healthy walk in Nandi County, the Source of Champions and the land of the legendary Koitalel arap Samoei, to refresh my mind and nourish the soul ahead of another busy day in the area,” he said.
The DP also commended the farmers in the area for putting much work into their farms, taking advantage of the rains to increase their produce.
“It was an inspiring walk particularly to savor the beautiful fields of maize to be harvested soon and tea bushes,” he said. BY THE STAR
