10-year-old killed in Ngata area accident 

Residents of Ngata area in Nakuru decried the unabated road accidents in the area after a 10-year-old was killed in an accident Sunday night.

The residents protested after a truck ferrying maize from Uganda hit two matatus and a Kenya Cooperative Creameries (KCC) lorry before bursting into flames at about 9.30 pm on July 9.

A resident, Titus Kogei, said the accident could have caused massive fatalities were it not for the brave driver who avoided a head-on collision with a matatu by steering the truck off the road.

Driver police confrontation turns fatal 

A fatal accident involving a matatu occurred on Friday in Ejinja area along the Kakamega- Mumias road. 

Witnesses said the accident occurred following a confrontation between the driver of the matatu and a traffic police officer who was seated at the co-driver seat.

Motorcycle and Toyota van accident  in Umoja Phase 1 

A motorcycle rider got into an accident with a Toyota van in front of Eastbite Supermarket along the Moi drive in Umoja Phase 1. 

The accident that took place on Wednesday caused a traffic snarl up along the route.     BY THE STAR
