Betty Bayo has come out to state that she was never a divorcee and so was never married, something many didn’t know as it was assumed she was married to Victor Kanyari.
This revelation came during a taping of the famous gospel reality show, ‘Oh Sister’. The mom of two made this disclosure to her cast mates saying, “I am not a divorcee, I was never married twice,” she said.
“I am married, I have a handsome man but the only thing you can relate with me is the ex. I believe even in your house, what you don’t use, you put it in the trash. The only people who go back to the trash are mad people.”
She added that after having a traditional wedding, she and her man would also have are being married in white soon.
Her bold statement would result in Size 8, Kabi Wajesus, and Shlaver all apologizing to her. Betty used to date controversial pastor Victor Kanyari, with whom they had 3 kids.
In 2019, the Public Opinion singer admitted that she made a mistake settling with him and used the words ‘marriage’.
“The mistake I made was to get into a marriage without really knowing my partner. I didn’t take my time to research on the background.
I didn’t consider things like character, personality. We differed in a lot of things. Every topic was an argument.”
The musician would split up with him in 2015 after KTN’s Jicho Pevu did an embarrassing expose on him.
During the expose, the pastor was exposed as a “man of God” allegedly running a fake ministry where he scammed many of his church members.
