Singer Esther Akoth popularly known as Akothee has been enjoying time with her father at her luxury home in Rongo, Siaya County in the past few days.
The 43-year-old musician has been recording and sharing some of her best moments with her parent and seems to be enjoying every minute she shares with the man who raised her.
On Saturday, she revealed that she spoke to her father about ‘disturbing’ reports that have surfaced on social media in the past claiming that at least seven men have paid dowry in the pursuit of marrying her.
“I told my father that people on social media say he has received 7 dowries from my 7 husbands, is it true?” a jocular Akothee narrated.
According to the singer, her parent denied ever receiving dowry from men, contrary to what is claimed on social networks.
“His answer, ‘No, I haven’t even seen you with any man,'” Akothee said.
The mother of five wondered why her parent denied ever seeing her with any man even though not many months have passed since she got married to Mr Denis Shweizer aka Omosh in a lavish wedding held in Nairobi.
About two months ago, Akothee insisted that she has only been officially married twice. In her statement, the singer made it clear that her marriage to Denis Shweizer aka Mr Omosh is her second as many of her previous relationships did not lead to official marriage.
Akothee urged her fans not to believe the many baseless rumors they see on social media.
“To my new followers, don’t fall into the trap of jealous people. I’ve only been married once with relationships that didn’t make it to marriage 🤣🤣🤣🤣, this is my second marriage,” he said on Instagram.
