Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) boss Raila Odinga arrived at the Siaya County Headquarters on Monday morning for a closed-door meeting with officials.
He began by touring the office of Governor James Orengo before heading to the assembly on foot via Barack Obama Street.
At the Siaya County Assembly, Raila proceeded into an informal meeting with Members of the County Assembly.
The opposition chief was flanked by Orengo, speaker George Okode, Suna West MP Peter Masara and Siaya county ODM chairman Oloo Okanda.
Religious leaders from Siaya also attended the meeting.
The newly elected deputy chairman (Ker) of a faction of the Luo Council James Ayaga was also present.
The agenda of Raila’s meeting with the county officials remained unclear.
Speaking to the Star after the meeting that was convened at the Assembly chamber, Assembly Majority Leader Martin Otieno said that “it was just an informal meeting between us and Baba (Raila)”.
“We discussed matters devolution and service delivery to the people. We did not discuss the Oduol issue,” Otieno said.
Raila was not immediately available for comment in regards to his agenda.
Raila is expected to attend a public rally in Ugunja in the afternoon.
