Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is full of praises for President William following his speech in Paris during Climate Change summit.
The President received rousing applause during his address to young scholars who had attended the event on June 23 in Paris, France.
Gachagua said the country is following in Ruto’s footsteps as it is leading on all fronts including sports.
“Kenya is now respected across the world and I think you are following in the footsteps of President William Ruto. The other day he was in Paris and gave a speech all the wazungu’s stood up. Wakaona mwafrika yuko an akili ya kutosha,” he said.
The DP spoke on Wednesday when he hosted the Special Olympic team at his official residence in Karen, Nairobi.
Gachagua said he is happy the team is joining Ruto in making Kenya a brand on the global scene.
In his address to thousands of youth on Climate Change and Financing, every statement Ruto made was met with loud cheers and claps from young scholars who openly expressed their admiration of the President.
“I see the solutions and the future. It requires solidarity, strength, equity and when I see you I see a great future. We have the necessary technology. We have it in our power to make it right,” Ruto said amid cheers from the crowd.
He added that the main agenda of the event was to call for a global financial system that is fit for purpose.
“One that does not pit the West against the East, or the North against the South. We want one that is fair,” he said.
“This is about our people.”
At the end of his speech, Ruto appreciated the warm reception from the youthful crowd and thanked them for their time. BY THE STAR
