A secondary school teacher has been arrested in connection with defiling his 16-year-old female student in Ndhiwa constituency.
The tutor was arrested on Monday morning in his house. He is accused of defiling the girl on diverse dates from early last year.
It is also reported that the teacher has been engaging in sexual intercourse with other girls and uses various tactics to lure female students into sexual affairs.
One of the tricks he applies is using cake to lure girls into sexual relationships and punishes students who resist his advances.
The girl’s father said he came to discover a relationship between the teacher and his daughter when the minor started experiencing pregnancy symptoms.
“My daughter developed morning sickness before we took her to a hospital for a pregnancy test which turned positive,” the father said
The father said he had to liaise with police to ensure the teacher was arrested and described the incident as a serious setback to his family.
“The girl is my firstborn on whom the family would rely in future. I want the teacher to get punished and transferred because I know students will not concentrate in his class,” the parent said.
The teacher is accused of being accustomed to defiling girls in the school.
Ndhiwa subcounty police commander Paul Rioba said the teacher is currently under interdiction due to other cases of defilement.

“Preliminary investigations revealed that the teacher was interdicted in November last year. Teachers Service Commission is investigating him,” Rioba said
The teacher has been detained at Ndhiwa police station. Rioba said he will be charged with defilement.
“Teachers must have the responsibility of taking care of children in school,” Rioba said. BY THE STAR
