In a bid to raise awareness about mental health and combat depression, Don Nyachio, a passionate dancer, has launched a unique dance boot camp called Dance na Don.

The three-hour boot camp aims to promote mental health awareness and encourage self-expression through the art of dance.

With a combination of energetic fitness routines, TikTok challenges, and mindful practices, Dance na Don creates a safe and inclusive space for participants to uplift their spirits and engage in a holistic approach to mental well-being.

The boot camp kicks off with an hour of feel-good fitness routines, where participants indulge in popular challenges like those found on TikTok and other social media platforms.

This segment sets the energetic tone for the rest of the event, fostering a sense of unity and excitement among participants.

The second hour introduces experienced choreographers, including Chiloba, who previously worked with renowned music group Sauti Sol.

Dance na Don is set to hold its second edition on the 24th of June, following the success of its inaugural event on the 27th of May at the same location.

After the choreography sessions, the boot camp incorporates a mental wellness circle, where participants engage in mindfulness exercises.

This circle encourages introspection, prompting individuals to reflect on their emotions and well-being.

The boot camp also collaborates with the Kenya Psychiatric Association, who provide valuable tools and guidance to boost mental health and support those who may be struggling.

The event, known as Dance na Don, invites individuals to gather at One Studio on the third floor of Viking House from 4 pm to 8 pm on the 24th of June.

Don Nyachio, the founder of Dance na Don, initially began his journey as an actor, appearing in the popular TV series “Real House Helps of Kawangware.”

However, his passion for dance has taken center stage, proving to be a transformative outlet for him. Although he has been dancing for years, Don has now embraced the commercial aspect of his talent, using it as a powerful medium to raise mental health awareness.
