President William Ruto’s mother, Mama Sarah on Thursday covered a Journalist based in Uasin Gishu with a Maasai Shuka.

Speaking at the event where title deeds were being issued, Mama Sarah said when she got to the venue, she saw her younger child who had worn a short dress and she was shocked.

“When I got here, I saw my younger child in a short dress, which is even shorter than her. And I said, what if that camera falls, how would she be able to pick it up? I said I have to bless her by covering her up,” she said.

Mama Sarah urged the Journalist not to be angry at her for what she has done, as she did it out of love.

“My child, don’t be angry over what I have done. I did it as a parent who loves and values children,” she said.

At the event, over 500 people were issued title deeds by the Uasin Gishu county government.

Mama Sarah appreciated the county for issuing the residents with title deeds, saying they have waited for a long time.

“Land is an asset, I call on all Kenyans to use their lands properly, for themselves and the future generations,” she said.   BY THE STAR
