Nzoia Holding On To Title Hopes, Says Babu

News

Nzoia Sugar head coach Salim Babu believes his side is still in the race to lift the FKF-PL title despite being four points behind the top spot with just two games to go.

The Western-based side has 63 points in third place, behind leaders Gor Mahia FC and defending champions Tusker, who are both currently in action against Kakamega Homeboyz and Posta Rangers, respectively.

“We want to win the two remaining matches, and we I have confidence we can still lift the title.

“The morale is high in the camp and we are not giving up,” he told Citizen Digital.

Nzoia have had a splendid campaign so far, as they are third on the log with 63 points, four adrift of leaders Gor Mahia.

Meanwhile, Babu has dismissed fears that his side could experience an exodus of players at the end of the current campaign.

The former Kisumu All-Stars tactician is also keen to see out his contract, which runs until the end of next season, refuting the possibility of joining another outfit.
