Kabale Tache sworn in as National Land Commission CEO

National Land Commission CEO Kabale Tache has been sworn into office in a ceremony that was presided over by Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu.

The event that saw former and current commissioners attend took place at the Supreme Court.

Senior staff from the commission also attended.

“As unequivocally captured in the words of my Oath that I have just subscribed to, I promise to perform the duties of my office faithfully, diligently and without fear or favour for the benefit of all Commission stakeholders,” Tache said shortly after the swearing-in.

Tache said she know too well an enormous task ahead of her.

She said the Commission will work with the three arms of government, all Kenyans and all people of good-will to deliver the mandate.

Mwilu urged the New CEO to be guided by the tenets of chapter six of the constitution on leadership and integrity.

Tache was appointed CEO of NLC following a rigorous recruitment process.

Tache has been the acting commission secretary/CEO and substantively has been the Director of Human Resource Management and Administration.

Following the interview, Tache emerged as the top candidate out of the seven who had been shortlisted.

NLC had received 172 applications, of which seven were shortlisted.

A seasoned human resource professional with more than 20 years of experience, Tache holds a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.

She is a full Member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) and a Certified Human Resources Professional       BY THE STAR
