Six Dads who deserve an Award this Father’s Day

Being a step-dad or a father figure is not easy but it is a role some men have perfected.

They are proof that one does not have to be a child’s biological dad for them to treat them with love and guide them.

Below are dads who are worth celebrating.

Omosh

Omosh met Akothee as a mother of five. This did not deter him from wanting to marry her and spend the rest of his life with her.

The couple is now married, and Omosh has a good relationship with Akothee’s kids.

Mike Sonko

The former Nairobi Governor is among the dads who need an award on this special day.

The flamboyant politician has adopted brothers Satrin and Gift Osinya.

The brothers lost their mum after she was shot by terrorists while trying to protect baby Osinya.

Sonko has also been at the forefront of supporting Kenyan boxer Conjestina Achieng as she battled with drugs.

He has also given her a job to ensure she continues earning a living.

Ndungu Nyoro

In case you do not know who he is, just check out his ‘Affecto’ Foundation.

Nyoro is a philanthropist who has a keen interest in seeing kids from marginalized and poor homes get a good education.

He fundraisers through his socials and seeks bursaries for kids who need his help.

If you ever doubt humanity exists, just ask people who were in the blink of giving up how Nyoro came through for them.

Bahati

Bahati may not be everyone’s favourite but he has a giving heart.

He adopted his son Morgan in 2014. The beauty of their relationship is that the aspiring politician treats him like he is his own son.

Kennedy Rapudo

The businessman is the stepdad to Amber Ray’s son Gavin.

If you have seen how he treats his baby mama imagine how Gaving is treated.

Zach

 Zack who is Murugi Munyi’s hubby deserves a pat on the back for being a present and loving step dad.

Murugi got her son in campus and hence became a single mum.

This did not hinder Zach from marrying her. 

Murugi said she knew he was the one after his reaction to learning he was  single mum during their second date.

The couple has three kids, two that they sired and one from Joan’s previous relationship.
