CNN journalist Larry Madowo has excited his Kenyan fans with an interview with US rapper French Montana.
Montana is set to tour Africa soon according to Madowo who hinted at it on his social media.
“What’s your favorite French Montana song? I caught up with the Moroccan-born hip star at his home in LA. He’s most proud to have ‘paved the way for Africa… I showed them that anything is possible,’ he told me.”
The three-time Grammy-nominated artiste said of his deep connection to Africa. He has raised funds for a Uganda hospital, filmed in Nigeria.
Of all his accomplishments, French says he is most proud to have “paved the way for Africa … I showed them that anything is possible. Because if you used to ask me back then what I really wanted … I wanted my voice to be heard.”
He has a new documentary about his mother, her inspiration, and his journey to being a superstar ‘For Khadija’.
“This goes out to all the mothers that struggle, that have kids, that was forced to sacrifice,” he told Variety Magazine.
The interview will premiere on the African Changemakers series on CNN soon.
