On Friday, President William Ruto played host to several celebrities and content creators at State House during the launch of the Talanta Hela Initiative.
The invite-only event was graced by celebs from different sectors of the creative economy, ranging from actors to Dancers, Radio presenter to Tiktokers.
Some of the notable figures at the ceremony include; Azziad Nasenya, actress Awinja (Jacy Vike), Awinja, KRG the Don, Cartoon Comedian, Phoina, Kartel, MC Jessy, Chipukeezy, Guardian Angel, Motif the Dom Mustapha, Ezekiel Mutua, Claudi Naisabwa, Kimanzi, Brian Mutinda, Kinuthia, Eve Mungai, Butita, Dufla, Nameless, Wilbroda, Shix Kapienga, Wahu, Pinky Ghelani, Suzie Wokabi, Austin Mungai among others.
During the launch that was presided over by President Ruto and CS Ababu Namwamba, the Head of State got a chance to record a verse of a song aimed at promoting Talanta Hela.
“The program aims to elevate the creative economy and position Kenya as a hub for talent development and economic growth,” the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Sports, and the Arts under CS Ababu Namwamba said.
At the same time, President Ruto unveiled the 70th Anniversary of the Safari Rally.
The World Rally Championship (WRC) Safari Rally is set for Naivasha, Nakuru County from June 22 to June 25.
This is the seventh event in the 13-round series that started in January at Monte Carlo, France.
The four-day event has attracted more than 40 entries from drivers worldwide.
The Rally will zoom off at Uhuru Park on June 22, and head to the Kasarani Super Special Stage on the same day before embarking on a trip to the Rift Valley for three days of competition.
Some 150,000 people are expected to attend the event, both in Nairobi and Naivasha.
