Tight Security was witnessed in Embu town as leaders arrived at the 60th Madaraka Day celebration at Moi Stadium.
From chase cars to security officers attached to the leaders, they were seen arriving at the stadium ahead of the celebrations.
Those who arrived include National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula his counterpart from Senate Amason Kingi, Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mithika Linturi , CS Interiror Kithure Kindiki and Council of Governors Chairperson Ann Waiguru who is also Kirinyaga Governor.
Others include Tvet Principal Secretary Esther Mworia, Ps Public works, PS Defense, Others include MPs Ndidi Nyoro from Kiharu, Dennis Munene Igamba Ng’ombe, Manyatta MP Gitonga Mukunji, Makadara MP Jalang’o and several other local leaders.
Atleast 10,000 people will be attending Kenya’s 60th Madaraka celebrations in Embu County.
As early as 4 am, gates at the Moi Stadium in Embu were opened to allow members of the public settle down ahead of the celebrations.
This will be William Ruto’s first Madaraka Day celebrations since he was sworn in as President last year.
The National Government together with Embu, has ensured that preparations for the big day were well done. BY THE STAR
