CS Duale explains why he ahs not invited Uhuru to his book launch

Defence CS Aden Duale has disclosed the reason he has not invited retired President Uhuru Kenyatta to his book launch.

Speaking on Wednesday, Duale said they are still friends, but after he saw how the former president conducted himself at the Jubilee party offices, he is afraid, he can disrupt the launch.

Duale, however, said that he would deliver a copy of the book to the former head of state.

"President Kenyatta after I saw how he behaved at the Jubilee offices, I can't invite him. He can disrupt my function and you know he is my buddy so I cannot remove him forcefully. I told him I'm going to deliver this book to him and see how I can help him," he said on Citizen TV.

The CS went on to joke that he would also like to donate some sheep to the former president after his were stolen from the Northlands farm in Ruiru.

Duale described how it feels for a livestock farmer to lose an animal, equating the feeling to that of losing a child.

"I'm a pastoralist and I have got enough sheep in one of my farms, I can donate. When you are a livestock farmer, when an animal gets sick or you lose it, it feels like you lost a child, it's very sentimental. So I can imagine when Uhuru saw his sheep being taken, he felt it."

During the interview, Duale also discussed the content of his yet-to-be-launched book "For The Record" and what readers should expect.
