Need my money by Monday! Nonini warns Brian Mutinda after Sh1million award

News

Nonini was awarded Sh 1 million stemming from a suit the rapper filed against Brian Mutinda and Syinix El;ectronics.

The musician is now going after the award, and pretty much in the way 50 cent did it. Nonini needs his money fast, by Monday.

“Think I deserve a Whiskey si ni #Furahiday 🤣 @stevensmuendo1 lakini hope most Musician follow the lead. Make sure you copyright your material and get them split sheet’s done. It’s important #Mgenge2ru @50cent #NeedThatByMonday,” he wrote while sending a warning.

Following his legal victory, Nonini shared his thoughts and responded as well to several fans about it.

“General damages plus cost of suit and interest. Im gonna need that by Monday,” he told.

A fan asked him what Nonini would do if the money didnt come by Monday. @lawrenceraul38 prompted Nonini, “What happens if he doesn’t pay?😅 and he said, “We shall see ☺️”

He first began by telling Brian Mutinda that he wants his money immediately, leading to fans asking him additional questions.

The defendant was ordered by the Milimani Law Courts on Thursday March 23 to pay Nonini KES 1 million in general damages for infringing his copyright.

Back in July 2022, Noni notified Brian of his intention to sue him after telling him he used his song ‘We Kamu’ without permission.

“Syinix Electronics decided to do a very brilliant advert using my song We Kamu. The only problem is they didn’t ask for permission 😬.”

The case stemmed from a video that Mutinda posted on his Instagram page in April 2022, promoting a new flat screen TV from Syinix.

The video featured Nonini’s hit song “We Kamu”, which was synchronized with the visuals without a license from the artiste.
