Why KRG is beefing with Kenyans with 'cheap' phones

Rapper KRG the Don on Sunday, February 5, 2023, said he doesn't want cheap phones anywhere near him or any person taking selfies with him.

The self-proclaimed billionaire asked his fans to be careful when they approach him for selfies in the streets.

KRG warned that anyone who approaches him with a cheap phone will have it rough as he would either throw it away or sink it into water almost immediately.

Through his Instagram story section, the artiste added that it is either you buy a good phone or just watch him as he passes.

"From now henceforth if you come to me for a selfie session na hizo simu Mchinku utaona I Will just take it and drop it on the floor ama kwa maji direct," read part of his post.

The statement has elicited a mixed reaction from his fans with many claiming he is bragging.

A fan identified as ezobusy said; Anaongea na hata akifanya show ya free hatuezi enda he's boring.

kenyan_gotti: @krgthedon appreciate fans one day utaenda show ukose fans....endelea na kiburi bruv.

A few months ago, KRG told Mpasho.co.ke, that he is a billionaire.

He said he could account for his wealth stating that his family saw his potential and invested in him indirectly.

"I was always a smart kid and from as early as I was in High school, I started making money while still in school," he said.

"My dad used to give me a lot of money, he used to give me like Sh150,000 and I only needed Sh40,000. I was keen and used it wisely."

He became a shylock, lending money to other students.

"I studied in Kampala and clothes are cheaper there. So, I would also bring clothes to my friends and as time goes on, I was already a millionaire," he said.
