Model Joy Mutheu crowned Miss Global Kenya, to represent Country in Vietnam
Joy Mutheu, the reigning Miss Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA) and Miss World Kenya finalist, has been crowned Miss Global Kenya.
After succeeding Eleanor Musangi in the worldwide competition, the effervescent and ever-smiling Bachelor of Science in Mathematics (Statistics) graduate will fly the Kenyan flag higher on the runway.
The 23-year-old model will compete in the famous Miss Global pageant in Vietnam later this year as the nation's representative.
She expressed her happiness at being chosen as one of the top performers worldwide to represent her nation in international pageantry.
"The Miss Global event will be held in Vietnam from May to June and it is a great honour to represent my country and share with the world the beautiful and unique Kenyan culture and heritage," she said.
The tall and beautiful beauty appealed to Kenyans for help in her effort to win the global title.
She stated that taking part in the renowned competition necessitates financial support from Kenyans and corporations.
"International pageants incur huge expenses therefore; I would also like to call upon sponsors to help facilitate various areas of the pageant. Keep up with my journey through the @missglobalofficial Instagram page," she said.
Mutheu started modeling in high school and professionally in June 2021 during Mr and Miss CUEA.
"I have one and a half years of experience strutting down the runway. I am also the Miss World Kenya finalist. I look up to Rolene Strauss, the Miss World 2014, since I admire her style, elegance and achievements."
She declared that she has what it takes to win and expressed confidence in bringing home the world title.
