Machakos woman arrested for allegedly stabbing husband to death

 

A 23-year-old woman has been arrested for allegedly stabbing her 24 - year-old husband to death, in Athi River, Machakos.

Athi River South subcounty police commander Mary Njoki said the incident occurred on Wednesday night.

The body was removed to Shalom Community Hospital mortuary on Thursday after DCI homicide detectives from Kitengela police station in Kajiado processed the scene.

Speaking to the Star, police said the woman was suspected to have stabbed her husband to death in what is believed to have been domestic squabbles.

Neighbours said the two lived as husband and wife.

They said the deceased was a driver in Athi River town.

The suspect has been locked up at Athi River police station.

The couple's child has been rescued at the station waiting for relatives.

Athi River DCI sleuths have launched a probe into the incident.
